If you have received a regular version of SuperPro Designer (not the evaluation edition) please make sure that you take a minute to fill-up your and mail your registration card. This will ensure that you will be getting technical support and future updates in accordance with your license agreement and as they become available. It will also allow us to notify you on new, upcoming product releases from Intelligen Inc.
Let' s assume that you have installed SuperPro Designer on your hard disk under the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Intelligen\SuperPro Designer\v15 (default settings). Here's a list of all the files that must have been copied under that directory (after the installation procedure is successfully finished) in order for SuperPro Designer to run:

DESIGNER.CHM
The context help facility of SuperPro Designer (installed unless you declined its installation during setup). This file is usually updated with each major release; may or may not be updated with a minor (build) release. For up-to-date documentation, have the Preferences Options set to allow for live over-the-internet documentation.
EBook.pdf
Contains in a PDF format (as an e-book), all the documentation for the software; this includes all the material contained in the printed version of the manual, plus more documentation describing the unit operations, procedures and equipment (not included in the hard copy of the manual) as well as the details of the COM engine of SuperPro Designer, how the application generates a Batch Sheet and all the details of the VLE modeling options available to users. In order to be able to view the contents of the manual you must have Adobe's Acrobat® Reader v6 or later installed on your PC. If you don’t have a copy of Acrobat Reader, you may download a free copy from Adobe’s Acrobat Download Site.
This file is always updated with each major release; it may or may not be updated with a minor release (new build, or new special build number release). Please note that Intelligen will make every effort to keep the e-book contents and the printed manual contents updated to reflect the latest features of the software. It is possible, however, there may be some discrepancies between the latest build of the software and what is included in the documentation.

The evaluation edition of the software, if obtained from a direct download from Intelligen's web site (www.intelligen.com) does not contain any documentation (as 'html' context-sensitive help or as 'pdf' ebook). You will need to download this content as a separate task. For details, check out http://www.intelligen.com/demo.html |

Very Important: If any of the above files (group#1 through #6) is not present on your installation directory, SuperPro Designer will not function properly (or fully) and must be re-installed. If problems persist, please contact Intelligen Inc.
SPDReadMe.CHM
This file (always updated with each major and minor release - when the build number changes - ). This file along with "PastVers.html" contain all the information on additions and improvements in the latest or past releases of the software.
PrintManual.pdf
Contains in a PDF format, the printed documentation (hard copy) of the software. Please note that the manual contains all the chapters of the e-book but it does NOT include the appendices. The printed manual therefore does NOT contain information on:
Detailed documentation for each type of operation, equipment and procedure included in the software.
Details for all the VLE non-ideal models supported by the thermodynamic engine of the software.
The COM engine and all its interface functions/services
For all of the above the user should refer to the contents of the EBook.pdf or the Designer.chm (on line help).
